Nepalese Community in Qatar Pays Tribute to Late Father Emir

Doha: The Nepalese community in Qatar (NRNA NCC) held a condolence gathering to honor the memory of the late His Highness the Father Emir, Sheik Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, recognizing his visionary leadership and significant contributions to Qatar’s remarkable development.

The event was attended by Mr. Prem Prasad Pokharel, a diplomat from the Embassy of Nepal in Qatar, as the guest of honor. Representatives from several well-established Nepalese welfare organizations across Qatar also took part in the gathering, showing unity and solidarity among the Nepalese community.

The program started with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an and a Dua led by Maulana Ghulam Nabi Rajbi, who prayed for the eternal peace of the late Father Emir and for Qatar’s continued prosperity.

Addressing the audience, NRNA NCC President Mr. Krishna Panthi welcomed everyone and explained the purpose of the condolence meeting. He extended heartfelt condolences to the Emir, the Royal Family, and the people of Qatar, while honoring the late Father Emir’s lasting legacy and exceptional service to the nation.

A keynote speech was delivered by Professor Mohammed Ramzan Ali Mia, who emphasized the strong and friendly relations between Nepal and Qatar. He also spoke about the vital role of the late His Highness Sheik Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani in transforming Qatar into a modern, internationally respected nation through his vision for economic growth, education, healthcare, and diplomacy.

The speakers noted that the Nepalese community remains deeply grateful for the opportunities Qatar has provided and reaffirmed their respect and solidarity with the country’s leadership and people during this time of mourning.

The event ended with collective prayers and a moment of silence in honor of the late Father Emir.
